I grew up in a family of deer hunters and have been hunting for over 31 years. I have been fortunate enough to hunt deer in states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Kentucky, Montana, Texas and Tennessee. By far some of my most memorable hunts have occurred at Rockbridge Lodge.

My son killed his first deer at age 9 at Rockbridge in 1998. It was a great father-son experience and we have returned to hunt each year since our first visit. You need to know that Bill and Jerry work hard to provide a first-class, fair-chase hunt at a reasonable price for every hunter. But, I have to admit that if you are a father with a young son or daughter looking to connect on that first deer or a nice buck, you could not pick a better place than Rockbridge.

Let ' s just say Bill and Jerry work a little extra hard to make sure the young hunter has a safe, exciting and rewarding hunting experience. An annual father -son trip to Rockbridge has become a tradition for my son and me in spite of having access to over 2,000 acres of private land to hunt here in Tennessee.

The accommodations and the food are great. The stands are comfortable and well maintained. The deer herd is healthy and includes some nice quality bucks. "

"Rock Bridge Lodge is the best for your bucks and Alabama Whitetails too. The accommodations are tops as are the guides and lodge staff. It certainly ranks as one of the best in the south. I have hunted there since 1989 and have taken several trophy bucks the best being a 12pt. weighing 174. The bow hunter will certainly want to take a look at the many opportunities for great hunts as well. The staff will do everything possible to put you in the right stand for that hunt of a lifetime."
